Etymology[edit]

Literally, it's always summer, from ahéé- (around in a circle) + hi- (seriative prefix indicating around and around)-shį́į́h (momentaneous imperfective stem of root -ZHĮ́, “to become summer”) (compare shį́ (summer)); and hahoodzo (an area is marked out with a line around it).
