Etymology[edit]

From New Latin isometria, from Ancient Greek ἰσομετρία (isometría), from ἰσο- (iso-) + -μετρία (-metría), from ἴσος (ísos, equal) and μέτρον (métron, measurement) + -ια (-ia, -y). Equivalent to iso- +‎ -metry.
