Review of Gheg Albanian circumflexes[edit]
The circumflexes of Gheg Albanian are not coherently followed either by Gheg speakers or by Albanian linguistics anymore. The pronunciation has become rather voluntary or interchangeable. Therefore, either all or some circumflexes should be abolished and the information of the pronunciation according to the circumflex vowel should be preserved in the IPA table.
Some restrictions still apply to the interchangeability but those restrictions, seemingly, correspond to Tosk. Since different expected or usual vowels are not indicated in Tosk writing, it does not have to be done for Gheg writing either.
It has to be advised that the entry of Gheg terms with circumflex vowels would often be a normalization either from a spelling without any circumflexes or also without any diacritics or from a pronunciation. The adding of the schwa letter "ë" as part of the Standard Albanian orthography, known to be based on Tosk, is clearly acceptable.
The exact outlook of the page entry should not be decided here so the formatting might still be changed.
