Etymology[edit]

Inherited from Proto-Turkic *badram (feast). Compare Karakhanid بَذْرَمْ (baḏram), Sogdian [script needed] (ptrʾm /⁠patrăm⁠/, calm, peace), Persian پدرام (pedrâm, lucky, happy). See the reconstructed entry for more.
