Chuvash[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Proto-Turkic *taĺïk- (“to leave”) via crasis from *tulh-,[1][2] equivalent to тул (tul, “outside”) + -ӑк (-ăk).[3]
Cognate with 𐱃𐱁𐰶 (tašïq-, “to leave”) and possibly Turkish çıkmak (“to leave”), see Proto-Turkic *čïk- (“to leave”) for more.
