Etymology[edit]
Borrowed from Classical Persian فرصت (fursat), from Arabic فُرْصَة (furṣa). Compare Bengali ফুরসত (phurśot), Gujarati ફુરસદ (phursad), Kannada ಪುರುಸತ್ತು (purusattu), Marathi फुरसत (phursat).
