From მ- (m-) +‎ უ- (u-) +‎ ნქინ- (nkin-) +‎ -ამ (-am) +‎ -ს (-s). Inherited from Proto-Georgian-Zan *kan- : kn- (to wave, rock, swing).

  1. to raise (hand or a stick etc. with your hand to hit someone)
    თანერიქ იშუმაში ჯუმამუშისთი ხე მუნქინამს
    tanerik işumaşi cumamuşisti xe munkinams
    Taner even raises his hand (to hit his brother) when angry
  2. to lunge, to attack (someone with something without taking action)
    ალიზ ჩქარ ნოსი ვარ უღუნ. ბადი კოჩიზ არგუნი მუნქინამს.
    aliz çkar nosi var uğun. badi ǩoçiz arguni munkinams.
    Ali has lost his mind. He lunges at the old man with an axe.
