Laz[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From *ჯუმა (*cuma) +‎ -შ (, genitive case marker) +‎ დღა (dğa, day). The meaning of *ჯუმა (*cuma) is compared to Laz ჯუმა (cuma, brother) by native speakers. But probably word is not the same. Compare Mingrelian ჯუმაშხა (ǯumašxa) (it should've been ჯიმაშხა (ǯimašxa) instead if that was the case).

Noun[edit]

ჯუმაჩხა (cumaçxa) (Latin spelling Cumaçxa) (Jigetore, Vizha, Vitse–Arkabi)

  1. Wednesday
