Etymology[edit]
Borrowed from Dakota mníȟaȟa (“waterfall" or "rapids”) (mní (“water”) + ȟaȟa (“curling”)) + English county.

- One of 66 counties in South Dakota, United States. County seat: Sioux Falls.

- Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis was independently (and tautologically) named from the same Dakota word.
- Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis was named after the Minnehaha Falls within it.
- Minnehaha Trail is named after the Minnehaha Park, which is at one end of it.
