Papilionoideae

  1. A taxonomic subfamily within the family Leguminosae – peass and other legumes. The circumscription of this group may vary with taxonomic viewpoint. It will be the same as that of:
    1. family Papilionaceae (when this group is treated at the rank of family)
    2. subfamily Faboideae in the family Fabaceae (when the name Fabaceae is used for the family, rather than Leguminosae).
