Named after Saint Martin of Tours.

- One of 64 parishes in Louisiana, United States, the equivalent of a county in other US states.. Parish seat: St. Martinville.
Usage notes[edit]
The parish was divided into two unconnected parts when Iberia Parish was created, apparently due to a surveying error.
