Please remove the Latin cognate 'pēnsāre' or 'pendo'. This is a false cognate (a very common one at that!). The Persian 'pendāštan' is derived from a Middle Persian contraction of 'pad' + 'ēn' + 'dār-'/'dāsht' ('to' + 'this' + 'have'). You can verify this easily by comparing similar contractions/constructions ('pad' + ...) — This unsigned comment was added by 129.97.150.65 (talk).
