Is the pronunciation correct? I always imagined the "mycin" in these words began with a sound like "mice", not "miss". Equinox 22:01, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I agree on this point. For example, look up erythromycin on Merriam Webster where "mycin" is clearly pronounced /maɪsɪn/. Also, I work in a job where I hear medical terms all the time and it's always /maɪsɪn/. I will go ahead and make the change in a bit. If there is any dispute, I'll look up more sources.
