This is an adverbial phrase, but the definitions given (which I have commented out) are verbs ("tumble, fall over").
Perhaps this should be moved to "fall arse over tit" and "go arse over tit", which would make it into a verb. — Paul G 16:14, 12 May 2005 (UTC)
- the argument for leaving it as an adverbial phrase is that it can be used with several "falling" verbs; 'trip', 'go', 'flip', 'careen', 'stumble', 'pitch', 'topple' etc... rather i think the definition should be changed to an adverbial form, like "violently out of control; head over heels" or somesuch. - TheDaveRoss

Arse over tit makes a lot more sense than head over heels anyway. I mean, I have my head over my heels right now( and my tits over my arse).
