I think the distiction between sense #3 and #4 is pretty redundant. Since when do we use "chicks" to mean "hot chicks"? Tooironic 02:31, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Etymology[edit]
It has been claimed to me that "chick" was originally a term used by African-American pimps for the prostitutes in their employ and this is why it is nowadays considered an offensive term against women. Can anyone confirm this?Romomusicfan (talk) 14:58, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
