Wikipedia's W:Farce has a farce as:
- A comedy written for the stage or film which aims to entertain the audience by means of unlikely, extravagant and improbable situations, disguise and mistaken identity, verbal humour of varying degrees of sophistication.
That roughly matches the motion picture definition as currently found in Wiktionary, just that the comedy can be not only for film but also for the stage. Wikipedia's definition seems to be much more telling. Anyone in the know could improve the definition in Wiktionary. --Daniel Polansky 11:05, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Audio[edit]
Neither the U.S. or U.K. audio is pronouncing "farce". They are both saying "far." If that's the way it's pronounced, then never-mind, but it's not the way I've heard nor spoken it. — This comment was unsigned.
