The Reverse dictionary (or 'Index') for Modern Greek by Anna Anastasiadi-Symeonidi (Greek: Άννα Αναστασιάδη-Συμεωνίδη, often translated in English in masculine form: Anastassiadis-Simeonidis) includes attested words in a vast corpus of Modern Greek texts up to the 1990s including colloquial terms, formal terms. Words from literature are marked with asterisk. Also abbreviated markings for part of speech, gender, number. Participles are coded as E, similar to adjectives. Not included: proper nouns, Katharevousa (unless a term is also used in Standard Modern Greek texts), dialectal terms. More details at the Introduction (In Greek).
It is used

  • to verify attestation of words not included in definition-dictionaries
  • to present collections of prefixes, suffixes and combining forms.

Placed, either under lists of "Related terms" or at "Further reading" section.

Examples:

What to search for:

  • |1=   At position#1, search a lexeme, different from our pagename (i.e. an affix with hyphens or a combining form without hyphens)
  • |2=   At position#2, search for 1, but show alternative text 2.
  • |accent=-   Search for any accentuation or no accentuation.

In what position:

  • The template recognizes prefixes, suffixes, infixes and common words by their hyphens or the lack of hyphens.

Show

  • |word=1   Show only the term, without an explanatory expression.
    Useful for verifying attestation of whole terms e.g. at lemma καστανοκίτρινος (kastanokítrinos): "καστανοκίτρινος" ... (data follow)
    or for multiple searches.
  • |nodata=1   or   |0=-   Do not show the dictionary's description.
    Useful for presenting multiple searches.
  • |nolink=1   or   |nolemma=1   or   |00=-   Do not show any link. Show only data.
    Useful for citation and reference in texts, appendices. It produces:
