Gender required[edit]

Hi, right now the documentation says "|g=gender ("m", "f" or "propernoun") - required!" but the gender is not required to know the mutated form (or more exactly, the gender is only required to know what mutation should apply). Plus, from what I understand of the code of this template, this parameter is not used and the template works without it.

@SPQRobin, Bequw, Mglovesfun, Embryomystic what should we do? Easiest solution is to just removed the "- required!" from the documentation and a bit more complicated (but probably better in the long run) is to entirely removed this parameter (or anything in between). What do you think?

PS: BTW, shouldn't this template be linked to fr:br-nom?

The same mutation is made for prepositive adjectives, which do not have any gender. With "required!", distinctive templates should be made for nouns and for prepositive adjectives. Baleer (talk) 11:30, 8 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
