Aromanian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Probably a derivative of a now lost adjective in Aromanian, *blãndu (mild, tame) (preserved in Romanian as blând), from Latin blandus, from the context of a "mild disease or condition"; compare the Romanian cognate Romanian blândă. Alternatively, from a Slavic blǫdi. Cf. also Bulgarian blŭnda, which may derive from a Romanian/East Romance language.

Noun[edit]

blãndã f (plural blãndi or blãnde)

  1. skin rash
