chiaita f (plural chiaiti)

  1. (often in the plural) chit-chat, chatter
    chiaiti assai e fatti pocuall talk and no action
    inchiri la testa di chiaitito talk someone's ear off (literally, “to fill someone's head with chatter”)
    troppi chiaiti mèttinu siti(please add an English translation of this usage example) (literally, “too much talk makes you thirsty”)
