Etymology[edit]
Popularized by "Ei tippa tapa", a song by popular Finnish rock and folk singer Irwin Goodman; according to his long-time lyricist (including of the specific song), Vexi Salmi, one of his and Goodman's friends used to say the phrase while they spent time in Germany in the early 1960's.[1]
