Borrowed from Korean 김밥 (gimbap), from (gim, a type of seaweed) +‎ (bap, rice).

kimbap (usually uncountable, plural kimbaps)

  1. A Korean dish of steamed white rice and other ingredients rolled in sheets of dried laver seaweed and served in bite-size slices.
