From Sanskrit ॐ मणि पद्मे हूँ, (oṃ maṇi padme hūm̐,, the wish-fulfilling jewel in the lotus), internally derived from मणि (maṇi, wish-fulfilling jewel) and पद्म (padma, lotus). (oṃ) and हूँ (hūm̐) are not translated.
