Alternative forms[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From takke- (damned, fucking (vulgar intensifying prefix)) +‎ eind (end, distance). The alternative form takkeneind results from the confusion between the prefix takke- and the unrelated word tak (branch, twig) and from the relative ease of pronunciation compared to the variant takke-eind which lacks an intervocalic consonant connecting the last two syllables.

Noun[edit]

takke-eind n (plural takke-einden)

  1. (mildly vulgar) A long distance.
    Synonyms: kuteind, pokkeneind, roteind, teringeind
