Etymology[edit]
Probably from Proto-Austroasiatic (compare to Proto-Bahnaric *-rok (“cow, ox”) and Proto-Mon-Khmer *ruuk (“ox”)). Doublet of warak (“rhinoceros”). (This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.)
