Tocharian B[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Uncertain. Possibly from an unattested *ārk (“merit”), indicating an early Proto-Tocharian *ārk. This is possibly related to Sanskrit अर्हति (arhati), but other cognates with this word make such a connection unlikely.
