Etymology[edit]
Coined by Jan Svatopluk Presl based on Polish żarłok (“glutton”). Analyzable as žral + -ok. From žrát (“eat”).

- the separation of the sole from the front of a shoe or boot (that makes the front of the shoe look like the open mouth of a shark)
