Pontic Greek[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Probably from Byzantine Greek απομέσα (apomésa), προς απομέσα (pros apomésa, “to the inside, inside”), ultimately from Ancient Greek ἀπό (apó, “from”) + μέσος (mésos, “middle of, between, amidst”).[1] Compare Greek μέσα (mésa), απομέσα (apomésa).
Adverb[edit]
