From the заклад- (zaklad-) stem of закла́сти (zaklásty) +‎ -а́ти (-áty). Compare Russian закла́дывать (zakládyvatʹ), Belarusian заклада́ць (zakladácʹ) and закла́дваць (zakládvacʹ), Polish zakładać.
