From Common Turkic *ertä (“morning; early; in the morning”), from Proto-Turkic *ẹ̄r (“early; morning”), per Bashkir иртә (irtə) (see there for a lengthy list of cognates).
Outside of Turkic, compare Mongolian эрт (ert).
