From Ottoman Turkish دویت (divit), ultimately from Arabic دَوَاة (dawāh).

   Synonyms: թանաքաման (tʻanakʻaman), գրչաման (grčʻaman)

Usage notes

Malxasjan glosses դիվիթ (divitʻ) with "ink" and դիվիթաման (divitʻaman) (containing աման (aman)) with "inkstand". But this contradicts all other dictionaries which know only the sense "inkstand" for the first word and do not know the second word at all.
