Usage notes[edit]
Although the meaning of the يخالف (yḵālif) part is fossilized and not used normally by itself, it can be used in response to a question using ميخالف (mayḵālif). For example:
―ميخالف تدرسني حق الامتحان ساعة 6 الصبح باچر
―لأ يخالف
―لأ يخالف
- ―mayḵālif ddarisni ḥag l-imtiḥān saʕa sit iṣ-ṣibḥ bāčir
― laʾ yḵālif - ― Is it OK if you teach me for the exam at 6 in the morning tomorrow
― No it's not ok
