Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Turkic *yolbars,[1][2] from *yōl and *bars, latter an early Persian borrowing. Cognates with Bashkir юлбарыҫ (yulbarıś), Turkmen ýolbars, Uzbek yoʻlbars.
