Calque of English creationism, from ܒܪܝܼܬܵܐ (brītā, creation) +‎ -ܢܝܐ (-nāyā) +‎ -ܘܬܐ (-utā, the abstract noun ending). Compare Hebrew בְּרִיאָתָנוּת (b'ri'atanút).
