Borrowed from Prakrit 𑀩𑀸𑀢𑁆𑀢𑀻𑀱 (bāttīṣa), from Sanskrit द्वात्रिंशत् (dvātriṃśat). For the preservation of /r/, see ތިރީސް (tirīs).
