  1. The 13th letter and fifth consonant of the Tai Tham Pali alphabet. In Pali it represents the velar nasal consonant /ŋ/.

Usage notes[edit]

As the first element of a consonant cluster not at the start of a word, this letter commonly takes the superscript form (mai kang lai). The different superscript form used for a syllable-final consonant in the vernaculars is encoded as the combining mark .
