Yoruba[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Compare with Olukumi ífẹ́nfẹ́n. Maintenance of a cognate with Olukumi could suggest evidence of a strong affinity between what was likely Proto-Ekiti speakers and Proto-Olukumi speakers, and perhaps descended from the same branch of Proto-Yoruba speakers. Also possibly Onomatopoeic
