Sino-Korean word from 漢語拼音, from 漢語 (Chinese) + 拼音 (transcription), from Mandarin 漢語拼音汉语拼音 (hànyǔ pīnyīn).

  • Phonetic hangul: [(ː) ]
    • Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
