Inherited from Proto-Turkic *-din. Cognate with Chuvash -рен (-ren), Turkish -den, Uzbek -dan, Bashkir -дән (-dən), Yakut -ттэн (-tten).

Usage notes[edit]

  1. The consonant mutates from 𐰓 (d) to 𐱅 (t) after being appended to a verb that ends with the consonants l, r and n.
    𐰖𐰆𐰞 (yol, road) + ‎𐰓𐰤 (d²n²) → ‎𐰖𐰆𐰡𐰤 (yoltïn, from the road)
