Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀅𑀕𑁆𑀕𑀺 (aggi), from Ashokan Prakrit 𑀅𑀕𑀺 (agi /⁠aggi⁠/), from Sanskrit π‘˜€π‘˜π‘˜Ώπ‘˜‘π‘˜± (agni). Doublet of π‘˜€π‘˜π‘˜Ώπ‘˜‘ (agna), π‘˜€π‘˜π‘˜Ώπ‘˜‘π‘˜² (agnΔ«), and π‘˜€π‘˜•π‘˜Ώπ‘˜—π‘˜² (ajΓ±Δ«).
