Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish ـجی (modern Turkish -ci/-çi) and the Serbo-Croatian suffix -ja.

Suffix[edit]

-džija (Cyrillic spelling -џија)

  1. Suffix appended to words to create a masculine noun, usually denoting a profession, performer or a feature, usually negative.
