From -ma- (third infinitive suffix) + plural adessive of -inen, or the conditional marker -isi- + adessive ending.

-maisilla (front vowel harmony variant -mäisillä, linguistic notation -mAisillA)
- Forms the fifth infinitive of a verb, meaning "about to do, almost do"; always used with a possessive suffix.
- Olin tekemäisilläni niin.
- I was about to do that.

The fifth infinitive is mostly used in written language, with colloquial speech opting for other structures, such as using meinata.
