Illustrative of something (represented by the dominant index finger) escaping from restraints represented by the nondominant hand.

  • This two-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
    1. Posture the nondominant hand in the “5” handshape about half an arm’s length in front of the neck, nondominant palm facing down. Posture the dominant hand in the “1” handshape with the dominant hand at the palm of the nondominant hand, dominant palm facing down.
    2. Move the dominant hand forward to the following posture.
    3. Posture the nondominant hand in the “5” handshape about half an arm’s length in front of the neck, nondominant palm facing down. Posture the dominant hand in the “1” handshape FromFinger, palm facing forward.
