Linking vowel[edit]

We need to clarify some things. If -l is one suffix and the sound before it is considered a linking vowel, then -s should also only have one entry as opposed to -os for example. I think we should consider a suffix "linking vowel"-suffix if it can do the link with all of: o, a, e, ö (káros, házas, helyes, büdös) and if has a version without linking vowel (erdős). It's interesting that grammar studies/books usually mention -os/-es/-ös and other similar suffixes separately, but for some reason the -l and -z verbal suffixes are an exception, they are always mentioned without the linking vowel. --Panda10 12:03, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
