Collapsing the traditional pronunciation of LL

There must have been a recent change where Spanish word entries now show the yeísta pronunciation and collapse all other pronunciations, including traditional pronunciation of LL as [ʎ]. Where was the discussion about this change? The non-yeísta pronunciation should still be the first one. Otherwise, you're deliberately dimishing the awareness that Y and LL used to be pronounced differently and that there are still people pronouncing them differently. Designating the traditional pronunciation as pertaining to "the rural North" is not neutral. Basque- and Catalan-speaking areas are certainly not rural, they are the most developed areas of Spain.
