Invented by Bryce Bayer of Eastman Kodak.

Bayer filter (plural Bayer filters)

  1. A color filter array for arranging RGB color filters on a square grid of photosensors, used in digital cameras and camcorders, and having a filter pattern that is half green, a quarter red, and a quarter blue.
