Bourbon County

  1. One of 105 counties in Kansas, United States. County seat: Fort Scott. Named after the county in Kentucky.
  2. One of 120 counties in Kentucky, United States. County seat: Paris. Named after the former county of Virginia, one of the counties that was carved out to create Kentucky. The Kentucky county is much smaller than the former Virginia county, though lying within the territory of that former county.
  3. (US, historical, 18th century) A former county of Virginia, 13 Colonies, British North America. Named after the House of Bourbon, the ruling house of France at the time of naming.
