Etymology[edit]

Blend of charge +‎ de +‎ move (charge and then move). Punning on the Japanese abbreviated phrase. From Japanese 茶でも (cha-demo, Tea?), from Japanese お茶でもどうですか (O-cha demo ikaga desu-ka, How about a cup of tea?).
