Old Irish neuter n-stem nouns.
These nouns are neuter, typically with the following endings:
- in the nominative singular: the bare stem (usually ending in -(m)m) without final n, with nasalization of the following word;
- in the genitive singular: -e following the stem without final n, along with aspiration/gemination of the following word;
- in the nominative plural: the bare stem with unpalatalized unlenited final nn (or rarely unpalatalized lenited final n), along with lenition of the following word.
The stem classes are named from the perspective of Proto-Celtic and may not still be visible in Old Irish inflections.
