Category talk:Hunsrik terms derived from German

I've removed the "German" etymologies from most of the words in this list. What we call German here is Modern Standard German, a variety of the German language that first originated as a writing standard of the 15th/16th century and much later became a common vernacular as well. Hunsrik does not originate from this, but from a south-western German dialect whose roots we can see in Old High German, or Middle High German at the latest. I've only left compound words, of which I don't know whether they were formed independently in Hunsrik or are indeed borrowings from Modern Standard German.Kolmiel (talk) 19:23, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
